wowgirl is the tale of Maxwell Trenton and his friends during their junior year of college. Maxwell is reeling from the breakup of a long term relationship. Neil, Zack, and Jason are in equal parts concerned and annoyed by the interruption of their normally care-free lifestyle of lazy days and idyllic conversation. Their attempts to cheer him up have little effect.

Meredith is away from home for the first time in her life. Leaving behind family and friends, she comes to Athens to start fresh - but her ties to home are not completely broken. Her new friends, Natalie and Danielle, bring new opportunities for adventure but their relationship with Maxwell and his friends also brings complication.

When they first meet, Maxwell is immediately attracted to Meredith. When he discovers that she has a boyfriend back home, he continues to pursue her, despite the warnings of others. Their relationship slowly develops, as Meredith is cautious, yet somewhat taken by Maxwell's determination and charm. Eventually, she is forced to make an anguishing choice, the outcome of which will forever change everyone involved.
